Effect of recycled aggregate and waste rubber particle on performance of self-compacting concrete
The effects of water-binder ratio(0.5~1.0)of cement-fly ash mixed slurry and soaking time(2.0~4.0 h)on the properties of recycled aggregate were investigated, and the best wrapped slurry treatment was preferred.Based on this,self-compacting concrete(SCC)was prepared, and the effects of contents(0,30%,50%,100%)of unwrapped slurry recycled aggregate and wrapped slurry recycled aggregate, and content(0,5%,10%)of waste rubber particles on the workability, mechanical properties and chloride ion penetration resistance of SCC were investigated. The results show that, when the water-binder ratio of the mixed slurry is 0.7 and the soaking time is 3.5 h,the comprehensive performance of the wrapped slurry recycled aggregate is optimal. The incorporation of unwrapped slurry recycled aggregate and wrapped slurry recycled aggregate basically reduces the workability,28 d compressive strength, axial compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and chlorine ion penetration resistance of SCC,among which, the adverse effect of wrapped slurry recycled aggregate on the performance of SCC is relatively small. The incorporation of waste rubber particles reduces the workability,28 d compressive strength, axial compressive strength, and splitting tensile strength of SCC,but improves the chlorine ion penetration resistance. The established conversion formulas for strength indexes are of high accuracy.
