A comparative study on short-term effect and prognosis of neuroendoscopy and traditional craniotomy in treat-ment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage in basal ganglia region
Objective To compare and analyze the short-term effect and prognosis of neuroendoscopy and traditional craniotomy in the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage(HICH)in basal ganglia region. Methods The clinical data of 40 patients with basal ganglia hich who underwent hematoma removal in the Department of Neurosurgery of Pizhou people's Hospital from June 2020 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed, including 18 cases of neuroendoscopic surgery(neuroendoscopic group)and 22 cases of traditional craniotomy(traditional craniotomy group). The operation and prognosis indexes of the two groups were analyzed. Results The operation time of neuroen-doscopy group was shorter than that of traditional craniotomy group, and the hematoma clearance rate was higher than that of traditional cranioto-my group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)score and Barthel index score at 1 week and 3 months after operation in the neuroendoscopy group were higher than those in the traditional craniotomy group, and the differences were statis-tically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with basal ganglia hich, neuroendoscopic hematoma removal has significant advantages over traditional craniotomy hematoma removal in terms of operation time, hematoma removal rate,short-term effect and prognosis.
