Comparative study on effects of systematic versus traditional visits before hearing reconstruction surgery
Objective To compare the effect of systematic and traditional visits before hearing reconstruction surgery. Methods The clinical data of 70 patients who underwent hearing reconstruction from January 2021 to May 2023 in the Department of Otolaryngology,Shenzhen Yantian District People's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed.Thirty-five patients underwent traditional preoperative visits(control group),and 35 patients underwent systematic preoperative visits(observation group).Baseline data were compared between the two groups. Before vis-iting and 10 minutes after entering the operating room, the Hemodynamics index of SBP,DBP,and HR were recorded.Zung Self-Rating Anx-iety Scale(SAS)was used to assess patients'anxiety levels. On the third day after surgery,a self-made preoperative visit satisfaction survey was distributed to the patients to collect their satisfaction with the preoperative visit. Results There were no significant differences in SBP,DBP,HR,and SAS scores between the two groups before the visit(P>0.05).The above indexes of the two groups were improved 10 minutes after entering the operating room, and the improvement of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The pa-tients'satisfaction of the observation group with the preoperative visit was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion System-atic preoperative visits can effectively alleviate the anxiety of patients undergoing hearing reconstruction surgery, help maintain hemodynamic stability, and improve patient satisfaction.
