Expert consensus-based clinical application of salvaged autologous blood transfusion
Objective To analyze the current status of clinical application of intraoperative recovered autologous blood transfusion, and to establish the operation procedure of recovered autologous blood transfusion based on expert consensus. Methods Totally 2220 patients who underwent elective surgery from January 2020 to January 2024 in our hospital were selected.1521 of them used autologous blood;the other 699 patients had intraoperative preparation of autologous blood.Autologous blood was used in 1521 of these cases;in the other 699 patients,autolo-gous blood was prepared intraoperatively, but no blood was recovered. Results The total amount of blood recovered during the study period was 756,962 mL;orthopedic surgical patients used recovered autologous blood transfusion the most, with the total amount of blood recovered reac-hing 451,296 ml,followed by cerebrovascular disease surgeries, hemangioma surgeries, and so on.Cerebrovascular disease accounted for the largest proportion of departments that did not perform washed blood transfusion, amounting to 49.21%.Conclusion Salvaged-blood autolo-gous transfusion can significantly reduce the proportion and use of allogeneic blood, guarantee patient safety, and has good clinical value. The salvaged-blood autologous transfusion process established according to the expert consensus can further standardize the relevant technical operation.
