Investigation on the intention and influencing factors of contracted service provided by family oral healthcare doctors in the residents of urban community in Zhengzhou
Objective To investigate the intention of contracted service provided by family oral healthcare doctors in urban community residents in Zhengzhou through a questionnaire survey,and analyze the related factors affecting the intention of contracted service.Methods From August to September 2022,a multi-stage stratified sampling questionnaire was used to investigate the intention of urban community residents to sign a contracted service with family oral healthcare doctors in Zhengzhou city,and the related influencing factors on the intention was analyzed.Results In total,1 128 valid questionnaires were collected,and the proportion of valid questionnaires was 94.00%.Of the urban community residents,31.91%had the intention to sign a contract with a family oral healthcare doctor.Of the respondents,55.67%preferred to file and maintain oral health status,and 43.00%believed that the reasonable service fee should be less than or equal to 100 yuan/year/family.Logistic regression analysis showed that the factors influencing the intention of contracted service provided by family oral healthcare doctors were as follows:whether the family has large fixed monthly expenses such as car loan and mortgage,whether they have known or heard of the family oral healthcare doctor service before,whether they use dental floss/gap brush/dental punch for dental care,whether they have supragingival scaling and take oral examination regularly(P<0.05).Conclusions There is significant room for improvement in the intention of contracted service provided by family oral healthcare doctors in urban community residents in Zhengzhou.It is suggested to strengthen the popularization of oral health science among the whole population,improve the public's awareness of oral healthcare throughout the whole life,increase the public's awareness of the importance of family oral healthcare doctors,and promote the better development of family oral healthcare doctor services.
