Epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis in Yanshi district of Luoyang city,2013-2022
Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of brucellosis in Yanshi district of Luoyang city from 2013 to 2022,and provide scientific basis for improving brucellosis control strategy.Methods The relevant data from China Disease Control and Prevention Information System and case investigation data were collected,and the descriptive epidemiological method was used for analysis.Results From 2013 to 2022,a total of 650 cases of brucellosis were reported in Yanshi,with an average annual incidence of 7.37/105.There was statistically significant difference in reported annual incidence(x2=38.554,P<0.05).The top townships with the high incidence were Goushi township(21.30/105),Shanhua township(19.38/105),and Licun township(19.14/105);the peak of incidence occurred from March to July(accounting for 64.31%).The incidence rate was 10.30/105 in males and 4.35/105 in females,and the difference was statistically significant(x2=2.146,P>0.05).The age group of 60-<70 years had the highest incidence(18.72/105).Of all infection routes,the proportion of infection from raising sheep was highest(74.15%).The median time interval between onset and diagnosis was 6.27(2.52,17.01)days.Conclusions The incidence peak in Yanshi district occurred from March to July during 2013-2022.The three townships,GouShi,Shanhua and Licun townships,where have more people engaging in breeding and slaughtering need to be focused on;the transmission drinking fresh goat's milk should be reduced;the joint prevention and control between human and livestock should be strengthened.
