Pathogenic detection of food poisoning caused by Staphylococcus aureus
Objective To analyze the samples related to a food poisoning occurring in a restaurant in the district of Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone, and provide scientific evidence for food poisoning management. Methods Using bacteriological diagnostic methods,14 common pathogens were isolated and identified from samples of suspect food, patient vomit and feces. The isolated Staphylococcus aureus was identified by specific identification, and further detection of enterotoxin toxicity gene and vitro drug sensitivity were performed. The molecular typing of the strains was performed by pulsed field gel electrophoresis(PFGE)and the correlation among the strains were analyzed. Results Six strains of Staphylococcus aureus were found in the samples,4 strains in food,1 strain in vomit and 1 strain in feces.Enterotoxin gene detection results showed that the six strains all carried sea genes;drug resistant test results showed that the six strains were all resistant to penicillin. The results of PFGE showed that the six strains of Staphylococcus aureus had 93.10%homology,showing the same clone. Conclusions The pathogenic bacteria of this food poisoning was Staphylococcus aureus of the same clone.
