Analysis on prevalence and risk factors of chronic kidney disease in Henan province
Objective To analyze the prevalence and risk factors of chronic kidney disease(CKD)in Henan province, and provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of CKD.Methods The multi-stage cluster random sampling method was used to select permanent residents aged ≥ 18 years from 14 counties(districts)in Henan province in 2018.Data were obtained through questionnaire surveys, physical examinations, blood and urine routine tests, and biochemical tests. The multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors related to CKD.Results A total of 8 406 qualified survey subjects were included, and the prevalence of CKD was 9.97%(95%CI:8.73%-11.21%).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of CKD in people aged 60 years and over was 2.109 times higher than that in people aged 18-<45 years(95%CI:1.672-2.660);those who slept more than 10 hours per day had a 1.341 times higher risk of CKD than those who slept 6-10 hours per day(95%CI:1.111-1.617);the risk of CKD was 1.254 times(95%CI:1.088-1.445),1.521 times(95%CI:1.321-1.750),1.907 times(95%CI:1.621-2.244),1.176 times(95%CI:1.021-1.355)and 2.173 times(95%CI:1.788-2.640)in the population with central obesity, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and hyperuricemia than the population without such diseases, respectively. Conclusions The prevalence of chronic kidney disease(CKD)among the residents aged 18 years or older in Henan province is close to the national average level. The main risk factors of CKD are old age, long sleep time, central obesity, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and hyperuricemia.
