Surveillance of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases events in Xiamen,Fujian,2017-2022
Objective To analyze the incidence and mortality characteristics of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases among residents in Xiamen, providing a basis for the development of prevention and control strategies. Methods Data on the occurrence and death rates of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events of Xiamen residents from 2017 to 2022 were collected through the Chinese Resident Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Event Monitoring Information System and the Population Death Information Registration System.Crude incidence and crude mortality rates were calculated and standardized using the data from the sixth national population census in 2010.The Joinpoint model was used to calculate the average annual percentage change(AAPC)and analyze the trends. Results A total of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were 62129 in Xiamen residents, the crude incidence rate of was 533.59/105,with a standardized of 515.21/105,showing a downward trend(AAPC=-6.36%,P<0.05).The death cases were 7 286,the crude mortality rate was 63.30/105,and the standardized rate was 53.78/105,with no significant trend(AAPC=-8.44%,P>0.05).Males had higher crude and standardized incidence rates than females(x2=13.389 and 10.941,respectively;both P<0.05),while no significant differences were observed in crude and standardized mortality rates(x2=2.127 and 1.151,respectively;both P>0.05).Both crude incidence and mortality rates increased with age(x2trend=28.563 and 7.114,respectively;both P<0.05).The average age of onset of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases was(65.75±14.37)years for males and(70.81±13.60)years for fenales. The average age of death was(71.36±15.26)years in males and(80.02±12.72)years for fenales. Conclusions From 2017 to 2022,the incidence rate of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseasess in Xiamen residents showed a downward trend, while the mortality rate remained stable.Men and the elderly are identified as high-risk groups, necessitating the targeted prevention and treatment management. The allocation of medical resources should be optimized to enhance service levels.
