Ananlysis on the epidemic characteristics and trends of hepatitis B in Jiaozuo,Henan,2014-2023
Objective To analyze the epidemic characteristics of hepatitis B(HBV)in Jiaozuo,so as to provide a reference for the development of prevention and control measures.Methods Data on the hepatitis B epidemic in Jiaozuo from 2014 to 2023 were extracted from the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System.Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the epidemiological characteristics.Results A total of 30 535 cases of hepatitis B were reported in Jiaozuo from 2014 to 2023,with an average annual incidence of 87.18/100 000.The annual incidence showed a statistical difference(x2=7 740.00,P<0.05),with a overall downward trend(x2trend=512.78,P<0.05).The top three counties(cities,or districts)with highest reported cases were Wuzhi County(6 903 cases),Qinyang City(3 364 cases),and Mengzhou City(3 142 cases).The highest average annual incidence rates were in Xiuwu County(111.96/100 000),Macun District(109.94/100 000),and Wuzhi County(102.02/100 000).The average annual incidence rate was significantly higher in males(111.58/100 000)than in females(60.93/100 000)(x2=173.00,P<0.05).Both the incidence rates in males and females showed downward trends(x2trend=738.52,206.21,respectively,all P<0.05),The age group 30-<60 years old accounted for 63.66%of the total cases(19 940 cases).Among the reported cases,66.20%were farmers(20 211 cases)and 20.61%were domestic workers(6 293 cases).Conclusions The reported incidence of hepatitis B in Jiaozuo is declining but remaining high,indicating that it continues to be a significant public health issue.It is recommended to strengthen hepatitis B surveillance to further reduce the incidence.
