The current status of non-national immunization program vaccine use in Erqi District,Zhengzhou City from 2016-2023
Objective To analyze the utilization of non-national immunization program(NIP)vaccines in Erqi District of Zhengzhou City and to propose measures for enhancing the management of those vaccines.Methods Data on immunization of non-NIP vaccines from Erqi District,Zhengzhou City,spanning from 2016 to 2023,were collected via the Henan Provincial Immunization Planning Information Management System and subjected to descriptive epidemiological analysis.Results Between 2016 and 2023,a total of 2 424 841 doses of non-NIP vaccines were administered in Erqi District,with an average usage rate of 2 948.92 doses per 10 000 individuals.The variaty of non-NIP vaccines increased from 19 to 25,and the total number of doses administered rose from 56 795 in 2016 to 558 367 in 2023.The per capita vaccination frequency grew from 614.33 doses per 10 000 individuals in 2016 to 5 242.39 doses per 10 000 individuals in 2023.The substitution rate of non-NIP vaccines for NIP vaccines also increased,from 24.14%in 2016 to 38.73%in 2023.Conclusions The utilization of non-NIP vaccines in Erqi District,Zhengzhou City,have shown a consistent annual increase from 2016 to 2023.This suggests that relevant departments should further standardize and strengthen the management of non-NIP vaccines and to consider expanding vaccines included in NIP vaccines in a timely manner.
