Epidemiological characteristics of HIV-1 antibody confirmatory positive People in Sanmenxia of Henan from 2016 to 2023
Objective To provide a scientific evidence for the formulation of AIDS prevention and control strategies in Sanmenxia by understanding the epidemiological characteristics of confirmed HIV-1 antibody positive people in Sanmenxia from 2016 to 2023.Methods The information of people with confirmed HIV-1 antibody positive in Sanmenxia from 2016 to 2023 was collected,and the descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the population characteristics and their changing trends.Results In total,863 people with HIV-1 antibody positive were confirmed in Sanmenxia from 2016 to 2023,with a confirmed positive rate of 3.67/10 000,which showed an overall downward trend(x2trend=38.059,P＜0.05).The highest HIV-1 antibody positive rate was observed in Shanzhou District,which was 7.24/10 000.There was statistically significant difference in the positive rate of confirmed HIV-antibody among different counties(x2=85.543,P＜0.05).Of the 863 people,721 males and 142 females,the male-to-female ratio was 5.08∶1;about age,20-＜60 years old was the highest proportion(80.07％);farmer was the mainly occupation(43.11％);the proportion of people having educational level with college and above was lowest(14.72％);about marital status,the largest proportion was married(56.20％);the main sources of case discovery were the disease prevention and control centers(42.53％)and hospitals(45.54％);voluntary counseling and testing(VCT)and inpatient testing were the two main discovery channels,accounting 34.65％and 32.10％,respectively.Conclusions The overall confirmed positive rate of HIV-1 antibodies in Sanmenxia City from 2016 to 2023 showed a downward trend.The prevention and control work should focus on farmers,married people,people with low education level,men and other groups,attach importance to HIV management in migrant population,increase the intensity of active detection and discovery,and further improve the long-term mechanism of prevention and control work.
