Monitoring results of microbiological indicators for drinking water in rural areas of Luoyang,Henan,2019-2022
Objective To provide the evidence for the supervision and management of rural drinking water by understanding the microbial contamination of rural drinking water in Luoyang. Methods The monitoring data of total number of colonies、total coliforms and heat-resistant coliforms of drinking water in rural areas of Luoyang from 2019 to 2022 were collected, and the test results were analyzed and evaluated according to the Sanitary Standards for Drinking Water(GB 5749-2006).Results A total of 2 886 water samples were tested, and the qualified rates of microbial comprehensive indicator, total number of colonies, total coliforms and heat-resistant coliforms were 82.12%,91.96%,86.31%and 94.11%,respectively.All of them showed an increasing trend year by year(x2trend=28.490,8.346,20.386 and 16.589,respectively;all P<0.05).The qualified rate of microbial comprehensive indicator was higher in dry season than that in flood season, higher for finished water than that for peripheral water, higher for ground water than that for surface water, and higher for sterilized water that for unsterilized water(x2=40.102,19.478,8.658 and 27.431,respectively;all P<0.05).The qualified rate of microbial comprehensive indicators in different regions were between 63.14%-98.15%(x2=275.954,P<0.05).Conclusions The quality rate of microbial indicators for drinking water in rural areas of Luoyang had increased year by year from 2019 to 2022,but there was still microbial contamination;all relevant departments should effectively strengthen the construction and management of rural water supply plants to ensure the safety of drinking water for residents.
