Practice and effectiveness analysis of hepatitis C prevention and control in Henan Province
Henan Province implemented specialized management for hepatitis C in 2012,and established a monitoring network to grasp the dynamics of the epidemic.By strengthening epidemic management and improving data quality, the overall epidemic has shown a low prevalence. After launching the campaign to eliminate the public health hazards of hepatitis C,a pilot project was established to explore prevention and control models, and various comprehensive prevention and control measures were formulated and implemented.By continuously expanding testing and referring patients for treatment, the HCV-RNA testing rate in newly reported cases and the antiviral treatment rate in chronic hepatitis C cases were improved. The prevention and control work has achieved significant results. However, due to the large number of previously reported cases and the long-time span, there is still a long way to go before reaching the goal of eliminating the harm of hepatitis C.The next step is to focus on the shortcomings in the prevention and treatment of hepatitis C,strengthen the integration and coordination of medical and preventive measures, and work together with relevant departments to implement various prevention and treatment measures for striving to achieve the goal of eliminating hepatitis C as soon as possible.
