The Effect of Preparation Process on Performance of Pure Titanium Strip for Plate Heat Exchangers
Pure titanium strips for plate heat exchangers was prepared using slabs melted in three VAR as the main raw material and using different preparation processes.and its physical and mechanical properties were examined.The tensile strength,yield strength,metallographic structure,cupping value and other properties were characterized by universal mechanical testing machines,cupping testing machines,and metallographic microscopes.The results indicate that different annealing systems can modulate the mechanical properties of the strip to a certain extent.When using the annealing process of 630 ℃+8 h is selected,the cuping value is 11.3 mm,and the grain size reaches level 6 and above,Different finishing processes have a certain impact on grain size,elongation,plate shape,and cupping value.
