Engineering Case of Stabilization Technology for an Antimony-arsenic Contaminated Soil in Southwest China
Ex-situ stabilization at original site is fast, economical and effective. It has been widely used in the remediation of heavy metal contaminated soils. However, there is still little research and application on the stabilization of antimony-arsenic contaminated soils. This article first used small-scale experiments to explore the remediation effects of different remediation material addition ratios on antimony-arsenic contaminated soils, screened out the optimal dosage of chemicals, and further verified it through on-site pilot tests.During the implementation of the project, the contaminated soil was classified according to the antimony leaching concentration to achieve precise treatment, cost saving, and convenient construction.A set of standardized construction processes was established to provide experience and reference for the remediation of contaminated soils by combined heavy metals such as antimony and arsenic.
