Optimization Studys in the Chlorinated Gold Separation Process
In this study, the copper slag produced by water leaching of copper in a smelter was taken as the object, and the effect of various factors on the gold(Au)content in gold separation slag and Au leaching rate during the chlorination and gold separation process were investigated, including the mass concentration of sodium chlorate(NaClO3),reaction temperature of NaClO3,duration of NaClO3 addition, acidity, acid ratio(HCl:H2SO4),solid-liquid ratio of reaction, reaction temperature, reaction time, and size of the copper separation slag. The size of the copper separation slag had negligible impact on the gold leaching rate, only 1.99%.Under the optimal parameters, the content of Au in gold separation slag decreased by 51.28 g/t,and the Au leaching rate increased by 4.06%.
