Study on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of TA15 Titanium Alloy Sheets with Different Specifications
TA15 titanium alloy was rolled by roll-bonding process, and the microstructure and tensile properties of TA15 titanium alloy sheets with different specifications were studied. It was found that a large number of fine αgrains were evenly distributed in the microstructure in the RD and TD directions of different specifications.Compared with the microstructure in the TD direction, there was a certain banded structure in the microstructure in the RD direction of the sheet except for the fine αgrains. In the two different specifications of the plate,it is found that the strength of the thinner plate is higher.Further comparison,it is found that the RD direction strength of the two specifications of the plate is relatively low.The tensile fracture morphology of plates with different specifications shows similar characteristics as a whole, which are mainly dimples, and some small dimples are distributed inside the larger dimples. In addition to the typical dimple characteristics,it is found that there are tearing edges and microcracks in the fracture of TD direction.
