Experimental Study on the Mineral Processing of a Copper Cobalt Oxide Mine in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
A small-scale flotation process experiment was conducted on a difficult to treat copper cobalt oxide ore in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The influence of single factor condition experiments on flotation efficiency was explored, and the rough-sweep open-circuit and closed-circuit flotation was conducted. The single factor condition experiments determined that NaHS was used as the sulfurizing agent, and a combination of butyl yellow medicine and amyl yellow medicine(1:1)was used as the collector.Under the optimal reagent system, after rough-sweep open-circuit floatation test, flotation indicators with Co and Cu recovery rates of 92.74%and 89.32%,respectively,were obtained for the concentrate;after semi closed-circuit flotation, flotation indicators were obtained with Co and Cu recovery rates of 90.22%and 83.21%,respectively,achieving effective recovery of copper and cobalt resources in difficult to treat oxidized copper cobalt ore.
