The Influence of Tendon-Soothing Drugs for Fumigation and Washing Combined with Manual Massage on Joint Stiffness After Traumatic Elbow Surgery
Objective:To explore the influence of tendon-soothing drugs for fumigation and washing combined with manual massage on joint stiffness after traumatic elbow surgery.Methods:A total of 86 patients with joint stiffness after traumatic elbow surgery in The 7th People's Hospital of Zhengzhou from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected and divided into the observation group and the con-trol group according to the random number table method,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was given manual massage treatment,while the observation group was given manual massage combined with tendon-soothing drugs for fumigation and washing.The Mayo elbow performance score(MEPS),joint swelling degree,visual analogue scale(VAS),daily life ability improvement and clinical efficacy of the two groups were observed.Results:In terms of the MEPS score of the two groups,the pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group after treatment,and the range of motion,stability and daily life score were higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).The effective rate of the observation group was 97.67％,while that of the control group was 86.05％;the effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,with a statisti-cally significant difference(P＜0.05).The detumescence index and VAS score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,while the Barthel index was higher than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Tendon-soothing drugs for fumigation and washing combined with manual massage can effectively improve the joint stiffness after traumatic elbow surgery,relieve pain,improve the elbow joint activity function,enhance the ability of daily life,and is conducive to the recovery of elbow joint function.
