Ancient Literature Research and Modern Clinical Application of White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng
Objective:To investigate the history,dosage,drug base,processing method,decocting method and symptoms of White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng in ancient literature,and to summarize its modern application.Methods:The database of the 5th edition of Chi-nese Medical Code,Chinese Medicine Think Tank,Duxiu Database of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine and other ancient Chinese medicine books were searched.With"Baihu plus Renshen Tang","Baihu plus Shen Tang","Renshen Baihu Tang"and"Huaban Tang"as key words,the drug composition,dosage,processing method,preparation method,decocting method and symptoms of White Ti-ger Decoction Plus Ginseng in ancient literature were summarized.Then,based on the database of China National Knowledge Network,with"Baihu plus Renshen Tang"as the main title,the search was carried out to calculate the modern clinical application of White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng.Results:A total of 442 literature on White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng were collected,involving 167 medical books,and 84 ancient books were selected,which clearly recorded the composition,dosage,processing method,preparation method and decocting method of White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng.The drug composition and dosage of White Tiger Decoction plus Ginseng were as follows:salted Zhimu(Rhizoma Anemarrhenae)82.8 g,raw Shigao(Gypsum Fibrosum)220.8 g,fried Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae)27.6 g,Renshen(Radix Ginseng)27.6 g/41.4 g,Jingmi(Semen Oryza Sativa)110 g;The decocting method was to add 2 000 mL of water,boil Shigao for 20 to 30 minutes,then add the remaining drugs,boil Jingmi until fully cooked,decocting about 600 mL of the liq-uid in total,filtering the dregs,taking 600 mL of the liquid warm for three times,in which Renshen can be decocted separately and then mixed with ginseng juice.The main symptoms are heatstroke,diabetes involving the diaphragm and waisting thirst.In modern clinical application,White Tiger Decoction Plus Ginseng can be used to treat multi-system diseases,among which diabetes of endocrine system is the majority.Conclusion:Through textual research on ancient literature and modern clinical application literature,White Tiger Decoc-tion Plus Ginseng can provide certain reference for its modern clinical application.
