An Logistic Regression Analysis of Factors Influencing Yang Deficiency Constitution
Objective:To study the main factors affecting the constitution of yang deficiency. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was con-ducted to collect the data of TCM constitution survey from September 2020 to November 2021 in Preventive Treatment Center of Yu-eyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medi-cine.The TCM constitution identification software V3.0 was used to conduct the investigation of TCM constitutions, and the multivariate Logistic regression model was used to analyze and screen the main factors affecting the constitution of yang deficiency. Results:A total of 811 subjects were included, among whom 211(26.0%)had yang deficiency syndrome.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in males was lower than that in females, and the difference was statistically significant[OR =0.55,95%CI(0.37-0.81),P =0.002];the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in age≥50 years old was higher than that in age<50 years old,and the difference was statistically significant[OR =1.83,95%CI(1.26-2.65),P =0.001];the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in overweight and obese people was higher than that in normal and low weight people, and the difference was statistically significant[OR =0.59,95%CI(0.38-0.91),P =0.018];the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in patients with hy-perlipidemia was higher than that in normal blood lipids, and the difference was statistically significant[OR =0.63,95%CI(0.44-0.90),P =0.011];the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in patients with fatty liver disease was higher than that in normal peo-ple,and the difference was statistically significant[OR =0.56,95%CI(0.37-0.87),P =0.010];the proportion of yang deficiency syndrome in functional gastrointestinal disease was higher than normal people, and the difference was statistically significant[OR = 1.77,95%CI(1.05-2.99),P =0.032].Conclusion:Age,gender,overweight/obesity,functional gastrointestinal disease, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia are the main factors affecting yang deficiency constitution.
