The Influence of Acupuncture Therapy on the Eye Movement of Children with Developmental Dyslexia
Objective:To observe the influence of acupuncture therapy on the eye movement of children with developmental dyslexia(DD).Methods:A total of 65 cases of DD children were selected and divided into the observation group with 33 cases and the control group with 32 cases according to random number table method. The control group was given only reading and writing training, while the observation group was given acupuncture treatment on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The changes in Heinsen-Schrock eye movement score, visual fluency, line of sight transfer, and line of sight fixation before and after treatment were observed. Results:Both groups showed an improvement in Heinsen-Schrock eye movement score, visual fluency, gaze shifts, and gaze duration after treat-ment compared to before treatment. Moreover, the observation group showed a better improvement in these parameters than the control group after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture therapy can effectively improve the eye control ability of children with DD and improve their reading ability.
