An Bibliometric Analysis of Scraping Therapy Literature
Objective:To analyze the research overview and development trend of scraping therapy in China, and provide reference for clinical research. Methods:All journals from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database were retrieved.By following the search strategy, literature related to scraping therapy published from January 1,2013 to August 31,2023 was searched and screened. The annual publication volume, author cooperation, institutional cooperation, keyword co-occurrence,keyword clustering, and keyword e-mergence of the retrieved literature were found out to systematically analyze the research status of scraping therapy. Results:A total of 1 024 articles related to scraping therapy were retrieved. The number of publications on scraping therapy in China showed a fluctuating growth trend from 2013 to 2022,and experienced two significant increases after 2014 and 2017.Among them, from 2017 to 2022,it was in a stable growth stage. The top 10 authors in terms of publication volume all have a publication volume of≥6 articles, with Xu Guihua being the author with the highest publication volume(12 articles). The top 10 research institutions with a publication volume of≥7 ar-ticles,and the institution with the highest publication volume was the School of Nursing,Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine(26 ar-ticles).Scraping,scraping therapy, copper needle scraping, etc.were high-frequency keywords, but lacked core research objects.Explo-ring the types of diseases, technical techniques, and clinical efficacy of scraping therapy was a research hotspot. From 2020 to 2023,re-search on sleep quality, copper needle scraping, warm and smooth scraping, and head scraping had been highly popular, and the devel-opment direction was the observation and research of scraping instruments, techniques, and therapeutic effects. The number of publica-tions by relevant institutions in Jiangsu and Guangdong regions was high(both≥130 articles).Among the top 20 publications in terms of research publication frequency,7 publications had an impact factor greater than 1,and 7 publications had an average citation rate greater than 15.However,there were relatively few scientific research fund supported projects. Conclusion:The related research on scraping therapy has developed rapidly, but the research subjects need to be focused, the quality of literature needs to be improved, and the funding support needs to be enhanced. The research area related to scraping therapy needs to be further expanded, and observing the therapeutic characteristics of scraping therapy in different regions and populations may be the future research entry point.
