Clinical Study on Ear Acupoint Application Combined with Moxibustion for the Treatment of Lung Cancer
Objective:To observe the effects of ear acupoint application combined with moxibustion on the sleep quality,quality of life,and TCM syndrome scores of lung cancer patients.Methods:A total of 94 lung cancer patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 47 cases in each group.The control group received rehabilitation training such as lip contraction breathing training and abdominal breathing training,etc.,while the observation group re-ceived ear acupoint application combined with moxibustion treatment on the basis of the control group's treatment.The changes in TCM syndrome scores,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score,quality of life score,and serum indicators[including interleukin-1β(IL-1β),gamma aminobutyric acid(GABA),5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)],etc.between the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results:After treatment,the TCM syndromes scores such as restlessness,poor sleep,and fatigue in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group's above indexes were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The PSQI scores of sleep efficiency,sleep time,and other aspects in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group's above indexes were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The quality of life scores of lung cancer specific modules,physiological status,functional sta-tus,and other factors in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the observation group's above indexes were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The IL-1β levels in the two groups were lower than those before treatment in the same group,GABA and 5-HT levels were higher than before treatment in the same group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ear acupoint application combined with moxibustion can signifi-cantly improve TCM syndrome scores of lung cancer patients,the PSQI level,and quality of life score.
