Research Progress in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy with Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis
TCM treatments for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR)with qi stagnation and blood stasis mainly include Chinese me-dicinal therapy, acupuncture therapy, massage, etc.Combined use can improve the therapeutic effect and reduce recurrence. However, existing research still has limitations:(1)In clinical studies, patient efficacy evaluation indicators are often evaluated by using scales, which are relatively single and subjective, with a large number of bias factors, and more objective efficacy evaluation indicators need to be added.(2)The use of therapies often relies on the personal experience and preferences of physicians, lacking unified standards and treatment indication references,as well as comparing the efficacy of different treatment methods under corresponding conditions.(3)The support for basic research on the mechanism of action is insufficient. Some studies have conducted animal models or detection of in-flammatory factors, but only focused on phenomena, and the mechanisms are mostly speculative, lacking in-depth exploration of the ef-fective mechanism of drug or physical therapy for qi stagnation and blood stasis type CSR;(4)The clinical application of Chinese me-dicinal formulas still requires further clarification of pharmacological evaluation, drug safety, and toxicity. In the future,it is necessary to absorb the essence from the thoughts of various famous doctors' medical codes, enrich the treatment methods and means, and also ex-plore the combination treatment, improve the efficacy, enhance the clinical symptoms and later-stage life quality of patients, and focus on clarifying the application norms and treatment indications of various therapies, actively carry out mechanism research, and strengthen the theoretical support of modern scientific principles.
