The Influence of Modified Light Yellow Sophora Root Decoction Combined with Four-Medicinal Wind-Dispersing Decoction on Perianal Skin Lesions and Pruritus Symptoms and Recurrence Rate in Patients with Pruritus Ani
Objective:To observe the influence of Modified Light Yellow Sophora Root Decoction combined with Four-Medicinal Wind-Dispersing Decoction on perianal skin lesions and pruritus symptoms and the recurrence rate in patients with pruritus ani(PA).Meth-ods:A total of 98 patients with PA of blood deficiency type treated from September 2020 to June 2022 were selected and divided into the combined group and the control group according to random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Levocetirizine Tablets, while the combined group was treated with Modified Light Yellow Sophora Root Decoction for sitz bath combined with Four-Medicinal Wind-Dispersing Decoction for oral administration. The changes in the patients'TCM syndrome scores, symptom score, serum inflammatory factor levels[interferon-γ(IFN-γ),interleukin(IL)-4 and IL-18]before and after treat-ment,clinical efficacy, recurrence rate, and adverse reaction incidence were observed in the two groups. Results:After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);The score of itching degree, skin lesion condition, dampness and other symptoms in the combined group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the levels of IFN-γ,IL-4 and IL-18 in the com-bined group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);the effective rate of the combined group was97.96%,while that of the control group was 85.71%,the effective rate of the combination group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the recurrence rates of the combined group at the 1st and 3rd month were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);no signif-icant adverse reactions were observed during the treatment of both groups. Conclusion:Modified Light Yellow Sophora Root Decoction for sitz bath combined with Four-Medicinal Wind-Dispersing Decoction for oral administration can alleviate the patients'symptoms, such as anal skin lesions, itching, and moisture, improve the clinical efficacy, and lower the levels of inflammatory factors in the blood and the recurrence rate.
