The fundamental elements and pathways for interpreting the classics of traditional Chinese medicine include fixing the original meaning,ensuring interpretive universality,logical regulation,and clinical practice verification.First,fixing the original meaning serves as the core and basic requirement for all other interpretations,as universality,logical regulation,and clinical practice verification must adhere to the text's original meaning.Second,the principle of interpretive universality provides flexibility in the interpretation of the classics of traditional Chinese medicine;context,allowing for varied understandings within specific contexts.While the principles of fix-ing original meaning,logical regulation,and clinical practice verification may not achieve complete precision,an interpretation is deemed effective if it gains mutual recognition among interpreters and between interpreters and recipients.Third,all interpretations occur within the logical framework dictated by the context of the classics of traditional Chinese medicine.Logical regulation serves as a consistent as-surance between the text and its interpretations,ensuring that interpretations are sound and substantiated.Fourth,clinical practice verifi-cation serves as the practical foundation for other interpretive methods.On the one hand,it ensures that the understanding of context a-ligns with the original meaning,universality,and logical regulation.On the other hand,interpretation from the perspective of clinical practice must not deviate from the original text's meaning,universality,and logical regulation.
