Treating Ischemic Cerebral Stroke Based on the Theory of"Blood Stasis and Turbid Toxin"
The pathogenesis of cerebral ischemic stroke is the result of deficiency of the five-zang organs, imbalance of yin and yang, leading to excessive heart fire or liver yang leading to disorder of qi and blood, damage to the brain marrow, impairment of the function of the spirit.Deficiency of qi and blood is the underlying cause.while blood stasis and turbid toxins are important pathogenic factors.Turbid toxins and blood stasis can both serve as causes of diseases and exist in the human body as pathological products, causing harm to the body. They are mutually causal, intertwined, and transformable.Qi deficiency, blood stasis are the initiating factors, while turbid toxins are pathological products.Turbid toxins and blood stasis adhering together and not dissolving are the main pathological mecha-nisms leading to the prolonged course of the disease. The treatment should start from deficiency of qi,blood stasis, and turbid toxins, with the principle of replenishing qi and activating blood, dissolving turbidity and eliminating toxins. This is of great significance for the re-covery of brain nerve function impairment, reducing the recurrence rate, and improving the quality of life of patients.
