Clinical Observation of Liver-Calming and Mind-Soothing Massage Therapy in the Treatment of Insomnia with Syndrome of Liver Fire Disturbing the Heart
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of liver-calming and mind-soothing massage therapy on insomnia with syndrome of liver fire disturbing the heart.Methods:A total of 70 patients who met the diagnostic criteria for insomnia with syndrome of liver fire dis-turbing the heart and were treated at Longzi Lake Branch Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Therapy Center of The First Affili-ated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine from April 2022 to September 2023 were selected.They were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,with 35 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with liver-calming and mind-soothing massage therapy,while the control group received Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction.The changes in Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),TCM syndrome scores,and clinical efficacy before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results:The effective rate was 100.0%in the treatment group,and 94.29%in the control group respectively,with the treatment group's higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,both groups showed a decrease in PSQI scores,with the treatment group showing a significantly lower score than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Both groups showed a decrease in TCM syndrome scores,and the treatment group had a signifi-cantly lower score than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Liver-calming and mind-soothing massage therapy significantly improves the clinical efficacy and alleviates symptoms in patients with insomnia of liver fire disturbing the heart type.
