Pulmonary nodules,as a common pulmonary space-occupying lesion,with the potential risk of developing into pulmonary malignancy,is an important link in the prevention of lung cancer.pulmonary nodules belong to the categories of"cough""dyspnea pattern""subcutaneous nodules"and"mass"in TCM,and its etiology includes two categories,namely exogenous and endogenous factors.The exogenous etiological factors are mostly the six pathogenic factors and environmental toxic pathogens,while endogenous etiological factors are often related to constitutional insufficiency,dietary irregularities,fatigue due to overwork,internal damage caused by emotional disturbance and so on.The main pathogenesis of pulmonary nodules is obstruction of lung collaterals by qi stagnation,phlegm accumulation,and blood stasis,with deficiency,phlegm,and blood stasis running through the entire development of the disease.Therefore,the treatment should focus on circulating qi,resolving phlegm,eliminating stasis,and dissipating nodules simultaneously.Based on TCM advantages of treatment based on pattern identification and combined with his long-term clinical experience,national famous TCM practitioner LING Changquan has developed self-drafted Feijiejie Formula,Yiqi Sanjie Formula,and Yangyin Sanjie Formula to treat PN,with positive clinical efficacy,so as to provide new references for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary nodules in TCM.
