Abstract
Cao Lei has long been deeply immersed in the field of Marxist political economics.He has dedicated himself to a comprehensive study of The Capital with the aim of enhancing its contemporary relevance.Cao Lei inherited and further developed Marx's labor theory of value,expounding on the law that scientific and technological labor dominates value creation in modern society.This substantiates the necessity for China's transformation of its economic growth model.Through a systematic demonstration combi-ning theoretical analysis with empirical evidences,Cao Lei powerfully refutes the notion that state-owned enterprises are inefficient and counters the false belief in full privatization or neglecting public ownership economy.Cao Lei's academic contributions reflect his unwavering stance and profound knowl-edge as an exceptional practitioner in the comprehensive school of neo-Marx-ist economics,making him a valuable asset to contemporary Chinese scholars contributing to innovation within this field.
