Changes and Evolution Logic of Agricultural and Rural Policy Discourse in China Based on Text Approach of People’s Daily from 1949 to 2023
Agricultural and rural policies are key factors affecting agricultural development and rural construction.Based on the agricultural reports published in People’s Daily from 1949 to 2023,we have established a comprehensive diachronic text database.Through the application of text analysis,semantic network analysis,and visualization techniques,this study aims to explore the construction and panoramic evolution of the core discourse system of agricultural and rural policies since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,in order to enhance our understanding of the underlying patterns governing agricultural and rural development and policy changes.After analyzing core discourse from the perspectives of semantic net-works,policy contexts,and social practices,it is found that the adjustment and change of China’s agricultural and rural policies have mainly focused on the rural land system,management practices,distribution mechanisms,and the urban-ru-ral dual structure.The disseminating policies through mainstream medias aligns with the prevailing socio-economic situa-tion,national strategic goals,and the needs of farmers at that time.The formulation,continuation,and evolution of poli-cies reflect the unity of historical logic,theoretical logic and practical logic.
