Based on the Neumann series expansion of frequency response function, a damage identification method of cantile?ver structure was presented. Using the Neumann series expansion of frequency response function, the relationship between damage parameters and the frequency response function was firstly derived to obtain the damage detection equation. Considering the influ?ence of noise, the least square method of multi?frequency points was used to reduce the error caused by the noise. Finally, the effec?tiveness of the proposed method was verified through a cantilever structure model.
