Finite Element Parametric Modeling and Analysis of Transmission Tower Connection Nodes
The current specification simplifies the calculation of the bottom plate of the connection node between the upper structure and the foundation of the transmission tower, and the overall bearing capacity margin of the node is not clear. In order to effectively establish the finite element model of the node and judge the overall safety margin of the node, the finite element parametric modeling of the node was carried out by using ABAQUS software from the aspects of element type, material properties, model assembly, contact form, boundary conditions, analysis step setting, load calculation and loading setting, and the thickness of the bottom plate was optimized. The results show that the failure mode of the node is the shear failure of the connecting bolt between the shoe plate and the main angle steel in the contact plane;Compared with the calculation results of the current code, the finite element calculation can fully consider the overall stress and plastic performance of the connection node, and the thickness of the bottom plate can be effectively reduced after optimization. The research results provide a reasonable reference for the safety assessment of the node, and also lay a research foundation for the subsequent overall reinforcement of the transmission tower.
