Seepage Analysis of Asphalt Concrete Core Wall Sand Gravel Dam of a Reservoir in Xinjiang
The dam of a reservoir project in Xinjiang is a sand-gravel dam with asphalt concrete core wall. The anti-seepage system of the dam is composed of asphalt concrete core wall and concrete base.Combined with the terrain and geological conditions, drawing on the experience of similar projects in China, the seepage control system of the project is reasonably designed, and the two-dimensional and three-dimensional finite element methods are used to calculate and analyze the seepage. The results show that the distribution of seepage field in each part of the project is reasonable under various calculation conditions; The maximum permeability gradient of each part did not exceed the allowable value of its corresponding part, which met the requirements of permeability stability; The seepage flow of dam body and dam foundation accounts for 1.8‰of the annual runoff of the river. The design of the seepage control system of the project meets the specifications and design requirements.
