Cooperative Efficiency Study on Natural Volcanic Ash and Fly Ash in Roller Compacted Concrete
In this paper, the three-grade roller compacted concrete with water-cement ratio of 0.55 is taken as the research object, and the natural volcanic ash and fly ash from Dali,Yunnan are used as admixtures, and they are mixed according to different mass ratios to study their effects on the properties, mechanical properties, frost resistance, shrinkage deformation, and adiabatic temperature rise of the roller compacted concrete mixture. The results show that compared with the single-doped fly ash roller compacted concrete, when the mass ratio of natural volcanic ash to fly ash is 1∶4 and 1.75∶3.25,it has little effect on the performance and mechanical properties of concrete mixture, the increase of dry shrinkage deformation and adiabatic temperature appreciation is not obvious, and the frost resistance is improved. However, when the mass ratio of the two exceeds 2.5∶2.5,the water consumption of concrete and the amount of air-entraining agent increase significantly, the setting time is greatly shortened, the mechanical properties decrease greatly in the later stage, and the dry shrinkage deformation value and adiabatic temperature rise show a significant upward trend. The research results can provide reference for the construction of hydropower stations in Dali,Yunnan.
