Design of Hemispherical Bulkhead Gate for Bottom Outlet Intake of Thwake Dam in Kenya
The bulkhead gate of the bottom outlet intake adopts a hemispherical gate,which is mainly used to close and cut off the flow channel in the still water when the accident gate or flow channel of the downstream bottom outlet needs to be repaired.The application of hemispherical gate in China is extremely rare.Based on the application of hemispherical gate in the bulkhead gate of the bottom outlet intake in Thwake Dam,the author introduces the design of structural form of gate leaf and gate slot,dogging device form and guiding device,which can be used as reference for similar projects.
