A Study of the Effect of Empathic Nursing on Anxiety and Depression Symptoms in Cirrhosis Hospitalized Patients
Objective Investigating the impact of empathetic nursing care on anxiety and depression symptoms in hospitalized patients with liver cirrhosis.Methods A total of 60 hospitalized patients with cirrhosis treated at our hospital from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected and evenly divided into two groups using a random number table.The control group received routine health education and psychological care,while the observation group simultaneously implemented empathic care.The severity of anxiety and depression,self-management behavior levels,treatment adherence,and quality of life were compared between the two grou ps.Results Before the intervention,there were no significant differences in the scores of each indicator between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention,compared to the control group,the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group significantly decreased(P<0.05);scores for self-management behaviors,FCS,and quality of life across various dimensions all significantly increased(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of empathetic care in hospitalized patients with liver cirrhosis can significantly improve the severity of anxiety and depression,as well as self-management behaviors.It effectively enhances patient adherence to treatment and markedly improves their quality of life,making it worthy of clinical promotion.
