A Study on the Photocatalytic Degradation Kinetics of Methylene Blue by TiO2/MS
The TiO2/MS composite material was generated by loading TiO2 onto melamine sponge by impregnation method.Under the irradiation of a 500 W xenon lamp, photocatalytic degradation experiments were carried out on 10 mg/L methylene blue solution to explore the kinetics of photocatalytic degradation reactions under different TiO2 loadings, immersion times, and dosages of TiO2/MS,and to determine the activation energy of this reaction. The research results show that:1)When the TiO2 loading was 30%,the immersion time was 3 hours, and the dosage of TiO2/MS was 1.2 g,the photocatalytic degradation effect of this reaction is the best, achieving a photocatalytic degradation rate of 91.210%;2)This reaction conforms to the first-order reaction kinetics law and satisfies the first-order reaction kinetics(L-H)model;3)The photocatalytic activity of the TiO2/MS composite materials improved compared to TiO2.The activation energy for the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue solution was reduced, resulting in an increased reaction rate.
