Comprehensive Evaluation of Urban Emergency Management Capability Based on Entropy Weight and Improved TOPSIS Method
The ability of urban emergency management is a comprehensive reflection of urban construction level. In order to improve the emergency management capabilities of cities and better deal with various emergencies,a comprehensive evaluation index system of urban emergency management capability is constructed, with which an evaluation on major cities in China is carried out.Firstly, the entropy weight method is used to determine the weight of indicators. Then, the improved TOPSIS method is used to comprehensively evaluate the collected multidimensional data indicators. The results show that the emergency management capabilities of cities in the eastern region are stronger, and that of cities in the central and western regions is weaker. Moreover, there is a positive correlation between urban emergency management ability and the level of urban economic development.
