Research on the Operational Activities of the Home Economics Department in Tsin Ku University
The Department of Home Economics at Tsin Ku University was established in 1945 and ceased operation in 1953.After more than seven years of development,its educational background,evolution process,and stage characteristics reflect the social demand and expectations for women's education at that time.The educational goals of the Home Economics Department has shifted from cultivating household management talents to nurturing childcare teachers.The curriculum integrates multiple disciplines,combining scientific rigor with practical effectiveness.The teacher appointment system and student selection system are strict,and the faculty is composed of well-known scholars from home and abroad.The students are mostly female students from families with better economic conditions;There are various teaching internship activities,strict and standardized teaching evaluations,and a strong emphasis on cultivating practical abilities.The operational experience of the Department of Home Economics at Tsin Ku University has important reference value for the current construction of the home economics discipline,especially in the construction of the home economics majors,its faculty team,as well as the cultivation of professionals at different levels.
