Design and Experiment of Peanut Pod Tail Removal and Grading Test Bench
In response to the current lack of research on peanut pod grading devices for peanut dehulling pretreatment,a tail removal grading and cleaning experimental platform was designed. The tail removal device on the upper part of the test bench adopts a combination of vibrating screen and tail removal saw blade to remove the tails of peanut pods. The optimal design parameters of the vibrating screen surface were obtained through theoretical data calculation and analysis. The optimal design parameters and mechanical performance of the key dimensions of the saw blade were determined by using local optimization design and tail removal mechanical graphical analysis methods. The lower grading device adopts a combination structure of strip slot and double drum.By utilizing the differences in peanut pod size characteristics, different sizes of peanut pods were effectively graded.Through mechanical graphical analysis methods, the optimal motor driving speed required for the grading drum was obtained. The modal analysis of the grading drum screen was carried out using Workbench finite ele-ment analysis software, and its natural frequency was obtained, which could meet the practical operational re-quirements.The experimental results showed that when the driving motor speed of the tail removal saw blade was 340 r/min and the driving motor speed of the slot screen double drum was 38 r/min,the tail removal rate and classification rate of the test bench were 98.8%and 98.3%,and the operational performance was good, which could meet the need of peanut shelling pre-treatment.The successful trial production of this device can provide supporting facilities for improving the shelling quality of peanut shellers.
