Effect of Solid Solution Process on Microstructure and Properties of Haynes230 Alloy
The improvement of the microstructure and properties of the aerospace structural material Haynes230 alloy mainly relies on the solid solution heat treatment process.In this paper,the effects of different solid solution process parameters on the microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of Haynes230 alloy were investigated using metallurgical microscope,scanning electron microscope and tensile,impact and hardness testing methods.The results indicate that the microstructure and properties of the alloy are more significantly affected by solution temperature than the solution time.Combined with the comprehensive scoring,it can be concluded that Haynes230 alloy can obtain excellent microstructure distribution and property matching after solid solution temperature of 1215 ℃,solid solution time of 15~60 min and water cooling treatment,which is of great significance for optimizing solid solution process and guiding industrial practice.
