Research on the Hydromechanical Deep Drawing Process of Aluminum Alloy Fairing with Large Depth-to-width Ratio
One typical aluminum alloy fairing with large depth-to-width ratio was studied.By numerical simulation method, the influences of the die cavity pressure and the blank holder gap were discussed. The process parameters were optimized. The results indicate that, when the pressure is applied before the punch displacement is 80 mm,the suspending area blanks are expanded significantly, and there are more blank stored, which is easy to wrinkle. When the maximum pressure is 15 MPa,the suspending area blanks also wrinkle, due to the severe expanding. If the blank holder gap is too small, the suspending area blanks are stocked and wrinkled, due to the lower resistance flowing to the die. This typical aluminum alloy fairing with large depth-to-width ratio can be formed successfully with the optimized prameters pressuring when the punch displacement is 80mm,the maximum pressure is 10 MPa and the blank holder gap is 2.2 mm.
