Reflection on Enhancing the Breadth and Depth of CPPCC Consultations from the Perspective of Whole-Process People's Democracy
The consultation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC)is a political process in which various parties,groups,and people of all ethnic groups participate in the governance of the country comprehensively through democratic consultation,using CPPCC as a platform.The consultation of CPPCC is an important carrier for the operation of the entire process of people's democracy.From the perspective of the inherent requirements of the whole process of people's democracy for the people and the whole process,the important focus of strengthening the construction of consultative democracy of CPPCC in the new era is to expand the breadth and depth of the consultation of CPPCC.Firstly,we will promote the extension of consultation platforms,carriers,and mechanisms in the structure,and build a consultative democracy among CPPCC members at all levels and people of all ethnic groups,in order to better reflect people's wishes,consolidate people's consensus,and enhance people's well-being in national(social)governance.The second is to strengthen consultative supervision in terms of functions,improve the full chain mechanism of CPPCC consultation,promote the transforma-tion of consultation results,assist in the implementation of major policies and important decisions of the Party and the state,and better safeguard the fundamental interests of all ethnic groups and people of all walks of life.
