Exploration into the Theme Poetry of Liu Zhangqing's Mourning Poems——Taking "Crying for Chen Shezhou"and "Crying for Esteemed Governor Chen"as examples
As a representative poet in the Dali period,Liu Zhangqing's poems possesses distinct characteristics of the times,especially his mourning poems.Liu Zhangqing's mourning poems express his deep emotions and feelings towards his loved ones and old friends.In fact,it is not only a mourning for his relatives and friends,but also a mourning for the atmosphere of the entire era.As a poet in the tran-sitional period from the flourishing Tang poetry to the Dali poetry,Liu Zhangqing's poems not only express sadness and mourning,but also reflect a Chinese scholar's reflection and call for rational return after social chaos.He consciously expresses his own emotions through seven character regulated poetry,traces himself back to the nature,and ultimately achieves a harmonious state.The two mourning poems"Crying for Chen Shezhou" and "Crying for Esteemed Governor Chen" can serve as footnotes to the above issues.
