The Narrative System of Intangible Cultural Heritage Documentaries——Take the Intangible Cultural Heritage Documentary of the Huaihe River Basin as an Example
In order to explore the narrative system of intangible cultural heritage documentaries, this article takes the Huaihe River Basin intangible cultural heritage themed documentary as the research object, and uses framework theory as the basic method to analyze the narrative theme, narrative structure, and narrative discourse.Research has found that narrative themes as high-level frameworks include inheritance, disaster, homesickness, and blending. The mid-level framework utilizes both temporal and spatial narrative structures, with a greater emphasis on character-driven approaches and a narrative perspective that emphasizes presentation over narration. In the low-level framework, visual and auditory elements construct narrative discourse with a rich sense of life, era, and regional characteristics.Chinese intangible cul-tural heritage themed documentaries have formed a narrative system with national, contemporary, international, and strong dissemination power, tending to form an effective path to transform cultural heritage into cultural influence.
