Study on Flood Response in Wanjiang Area in the Late Qing Dynasty:Based on Investigations on Shenbao Reports
In the late Qing Dynasty,frequent floods in Wanjiang area led to agricultural harvest failure and failure,agricultural productivity decline,numerous victims,and even population casualties,and a huge impact on economic devel-opment.Shenbao played an important publicity role in disaster reporting and disaster relief in Wanjiang area,publishing a large number of post-disaster relief activities,directing disaster relief and donation in Wanjiang area,which played a posi-tive role in promoting the disaster relief activities in Wanjiang area.
