Traditional colors are an important component of the feudal social etiquette system,and a symbolic repre-sentation of architectural hierarchy and decoration.Based on the theory of architectural color,this article takes the typical Ming Dynasty Huizhou architecture,LUO Dongshu Ancestral Hall,as an example,analyzes the reasons for its color composition by combining the systemic,conceptual,and technical aspects of traditional colors.By conducting on-site sur-veys and using color measurement technology and interdisciplinary methods,a quantitative model is established to study the existing architectural colors.Based on the CIE-LCH and Munsell color systems,the article analyzes the main color el-ements and compositional rules of the building's primary colors and interior decorative colors,explores the formation of the color spectrum of the LUO Dongshu Ancestral Hall,and supplements the data resources of traditional Huizhou archi-tecture colors from a technical perspective.
